Daniel Keech

Senior Research Fellow

My european research includes alternative food networks, cultural geography, urban regeneration and rural-urban interdependence (e.g. nature-based solutions/green infrastructure).

Biography

Daniel joined the CCRI in 2012 after 20 years of working for food and environmental organisations. Daniel’s PhD (Southampton University, 2014) examined the environmental performance of social enterprises in England and Germany.

Daniel uses transdisciplinary methods (incl. living labs) to support innovation (e.g. improvements in rural digital services) and link visual/performance arts with social science in landscape research.

Daniel teaches at the University within courses on nature-based solutions and planning. Postgraduate supervision and examination range has included cultural geography, applied ecology, landscape architecture and fine art. Daniel is the contact for postgraduate studies at CCRI.
