Dr Legg completed her PhD (2021) at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her PhD thesis investigated the relationships between upper extremity strength and forward fall capacity in older adults. Prior to this, her interests were in performance; her masters examined the impact of footwear on the biomechanics of the squat movement.
Dr Legg has over 15 years of teaching and research experience in the UK and abroad. Aside from teaching activities, Dr Legg is an accredited member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She has provided strength and conditioning support to a range of clients and athletes.
She joined University of Gloucestershire in 2023.
Dr Legg contributes and leads on modules across both undergraduate and post graduate courses. She primarily delivers on the Strength and Conditioning degree programs. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has competed a graduate certificate in academic practice. In addition, she acts as an external examiner for taught course provisions. She also supervises undergraduate dissertations, research by master’s, PhD and Professional Doctorate students.
