Trained as a microbiologist, she has worked across the charity and university sectors, leading research communications and public engagement initiatives.
Kat’s work focuses on making science accessible and meaningful – from campaigns to producing impact reports that demonstrate the real-world difference research funding makes. She has collaborated with researchers, clinicians, and funders to communicate discoveries that matter.
At CCRI, Kat supports communication for research projects, including MINAGRIS: Enhancing Soil Health for Sustainable Practices; TERRASAFE: Cultivating Resilience, Restoring the Earth; and TRAILS4SOIL: Rebuilding soil health through regenerative and conservation agriculture Outside of work, she loves travel, culture, and the outdoors. You’ll often find her exploring the British countryside in her campervan with her tripawd rescue dog.
