Tim Land

Senior Lecturer in Sound and Music Production

I’m a maker of beats and sounds and have an extensive background in producing electronic dance music. More recently I have been specialising in spatial sound and its potential for new auditory experience.

Biography

As a musician and producer (Landslide), I have released albums, EPs, and remixes on both independent and major labels. I have received a BAFTA for interactive sound work and have toured internationally with award-winning bands and as a DJ. I draw on these experiences to teach production, composition, sound design, music business, and contextual studies.

My current focus is on spatial audio, exploring production and composition strategies for popular music in accessible and practical settings. I am the convenor of the Everyday is Spatial conference and concert series at the University of Gloucestershire.
