Researchers in these areas blend intricate logic with boundless creativity to develop the systems that will drive the world tomorrow. I’m passionate about helping others to join them.
Ever since I started playing games on the BBC Micro, I’ve been fascinated with how they work. This drove me to start learning to program at the age of seven and I’ve been doing it ever since. During my time at University I became really interested in artificial intelligence, and this led me onto my Doctorate, which was based on applying optimisation and AI to engineering problems. I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn, and it’s even better when it’s a subject you love.
My research focus is on artificial intelligence, optimisation algorithms, and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems and issues.
