The University of Gloucestershire is registered with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). It uses its services in order to make more informed decisions when recruiting students into positions of trust, which involve regular contact with either children or vulnerable adults.
Please refer to our guidance sheet on how to complete the CRB/ISA form and how to avoid the most frequent errors that occur. If there is an error within your form you will be required to complete another, delaying your entrance to the University or placement provider.
Please note that you are unable to download an application form from this website. Application forms for prospective students are given out at the CRB signing sessions, applicants are only expected to bring the necessary identity documents and payment to these events. Current students can collect an application from the Admissions Office at the Park Campus or Joy Ford at the Oxstalls Campus.
CRB signing session dates
It is a requirement when completing a CRB/ISA application form that the identity of the applicant
must be confirmed in a face to face check. The university has a number of CRB/ISA signing sessions
each year and applicants would be expected to attend one of these dates Please make sure you bring all the required documents (see guidance notes) as failure to do so will prevent the form from being successfully completed and will result in a wasted journey. Please confirm your attendance by emailing crb@glos.ac.uk

Important information for students holding or acquiring a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure
Upon completion of the enhanced security checks the CRB will send out two copies of the disclosure certificate, one to you and one to the university. After the university has assessed your suitability for placement it will destroy its copy of the disclosure after six months. It’s vitally important that you keep your disclosure in a secure location as the CRB and university will not be able provide copies.
