Cyber and Digital Launchpad 2026
Bringing employers and learners together to meet the sector’s future job demands.
University of Gloucestershire is once again joining forces with employers from across the county’s cyber and digital sector offering new apprenticeship opportunities as part of the Cyber and Digital Launchpad scheme.
The scheme enables employers to be meet with new recruits keen to embark on a career in cyber and digital, while gaining a degree qualification as part of their apprenticeship.
University of Gloucestershire is hosting two key cyber and digital events – one for employers and one for learners. Our Employer Roundtable Event, taking place on Thursday 29 January 2026, will bring together organisations from all sectors interested in recruiting cyber and digital apprentices. Employers will gain valuable insight into how apprenticeships work at UoG and how they can benefit their workforce.
This will be followed by the Cyber and Digital Launchpad Learner Event on Wednesday 18 March, which will connect innovative employers with motivated prospective learners – unlocking new talent and supporting the next generation of cyber and digital professionals.
Employer Roundtable
Our Employer Roundtable Event takes place on Thursday 29 January 2026.
The Gloucestershire Cyber and Digital Launchpad Employer Roundtable enhances partnerships between local businesses and the University of Gloucestershire, helping employers learn more about the scheme and access the next generation of talent in cyber security, software engineering, network engineering, and data analysis through degree apprenticeships.
The event is also an opportunity to connect with other employers, meet our expert academics and find out about the unique support on offer.
Launchpad 2026 Learner Event
Join us on Wednesday 18 March at UoG’s Park Campus, Cheltenham.
- Employers can meet potential apprentices from different backgrounds with an interest in starting a career in cyber or digital.
- Learners can find out more about the apprenticeship opportunities on offer.
- UoG staff and lecturers will give an insight to the cyber and digital apprenticeships.

How the Launchpad scheme works
We’re currently partnered with a range of organisations including Cyber Security Associates, Salus, Cyberis and Gloucester City Council.
Through our collaborations with schools, colleges and community organisations, we’re able to help employers find suitable candidates to fill new apprenticeship roles starting September 2026.
The most important thing is that you have a natural talent for computing and are excited about developing your cyber and digital skills. Perhaps you enjoy coding in your spare time, or you get a kick out of teaching yourself new tech skills.
Employers may set additional entry requirements depending on their organisational needs – if so, you will find this out when applying.
