Teachers and Advisers CPD – June 2026 Series

Delivered online via Microsoft Teams.

Creative degrees are often misunderstood, yet they sit at the heart of one of the UK’s fastest-growing and most resilient sectors.

This engaging 45-minute session is designed to support school careers advisers to confidently champion creative pathways with students, parents and colleagues. The session explores the reality of the creative industries. It considers why creative degrees matter more than ever, the skills employers are actively seeking, and the rise of portfolio careers and flexible working patterns, as well as the increasing crossover between creative and non-creative sectors.

With a focus on being human in an AI-driven world, it looks at what artificial intelligence can and cannot replace and highlights the growing importance of creativity, originality and emotional intelligence, showing how creative graduates are well positioned for the future workforce.

The session also supports informed student choices by offering practical strategies for guidance conversations, addressing parental concerns, and communicating progression routes and employability.
