Welsh Government’s Play Sufficiency Duty
The Welsh Government introduced a statutory responsibility of local authorities to assess and secure sufficient opportunities for children to play.
Four small-scale research studies were undertaken, one on the first play sufficiency assessment process (2013), one on actions to secure sufficient opportunities (2014), One looking back over 6 years of the duty (2019) and one looking at the conditions that can support local authorities to deliver on the Duty (2020).
