£5.8m FuturePark to welcome industry leaders for Gloucestershire Tech Week 2026
University of Gloucestershire’s £5.8 million centre of excellence for cyber and digital will welcome innovators, businesses and technology leaders as part of Gloucestershire Tech Week 2026.
Delivered by CyNam, Gloucestershire Tech Week 2026 (12-16 October) is built around seven challenges informed by the UK’s National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence Review. These include strengthening resilience to disruption, building world-class technology, accelerating innovation, and developing skills and talent.
Each day takes place at a different specialist venue in Gloucestershire and explores a selection of specific themes related to regional and national challenges.
The University’s £5.8 million FuturePark – based at Park Campus – will host day three (14 October) of the programme, entitled Curiosity. The day will focus on exploring new ideas, developing talent and examining how research, education and collaboration can help find solutions to major technological and societal challenges.
Sessions will include The Entrepreneur Within, Why Businesses Should Prioritise Neuroinclusion and The Science of High-Performing Teams. Tickets are now available.
Curiosity forms a key part of Gloucestershire Tech Week’s Mission Driven theme, which focuses on how the county’s strengths in cyber, digital technology, artificial intelligence, advanced engineering and innovation can provide practical solutions with national impact.
FuturePark, opened by the Director of GCHQ, Anne Keast-Butler, was funded by the Office for Students and developed in consultation with CyNam, Hub8, and Plexal. The future-facing space offers state-of-the-art equipment and technology for students on cyber, games and computing programmes at the University. The facilities are also available to local businesses and community organisations.
