We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to work out what your qualifications match with in the UK education system, so the following country-specific information should help you decide which level of study is most appropriate for you.

Higher Secondary School Certificate with 65%/GPA 3.0/B. Students with lower scores may be considered for the foundation year.

Successful completion of a 4-year Bachelor degree with minimum 65% OR 3 year Bachelor degree PLUS a Masters degree with 65%. Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements. Applicants are advised to check the course page, and/or conditions stated in the offer letter.

3 year Bachelor degree plus a Masters degree with 70% or 4 year Bachelor degree plus a Masters degree with 65%. MRes applicants must have successfully completed a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree with a minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent. For Doctorate and PhD admission, applicants must have successfully completed a master’s degree with a good grade in a related subject field or hold relevant work experience. In addition some programmes may require work experience and/or a strong portfolio of work. Applicants are expected to submit a research proposal.

Scholarships
As a new, Nepalese self-funded student* studying on-campus starting in the academic year 2025/26 you may be eligible to benefit from one of UoG’s global scholarship packages. See our international scholarships page for more details.
International tuition fees
Tuition fees cover the cost of your study, including teaching, supervision and exams. Fees also include access to our libraries, Students’ Union, and support services like our Student Centres and Careers Services.
Tuition fees vary by course – we recommend that you check the course or fee pages below:
- Postgraduate taught (Master’s): between £17,950 – £18,700 per year. View fees for postgraduate taught.
- Undergraduate (Bachelor’s): usually £17,425 per year. View fees for undergraduate courses.
- Postgraduate research (PhD/Master’s by Research): normally £13,425 per year. View fees for postgraduate research.
