As a Biomechanist, I aim to bring the passion and experience I have developed to my undergraduate teaching. I have a particular interest in applying biomechanical techniques to study the structural and mechanical responses of muscles and tendons to growth and interventions, in paediatric and clinical populations.

I teach Biomechanics on the Sport and Exercise programme at Levels 4-6, through lecture and lab based sessions.
My research focus is around musculoskeletal Biomechanics in paediatric populations and those with neuromuscular disorders. To understand musculoskeletal growth and adaptations to exercise I use measurement techniques such as ultrasonography to study muscle and tendon architecture, isokinetics for muscle strength and 3D motion analysis to assess walking patterns.
