Our Halls of Residence application process for new 2026/27 students will open her mid-January 2026.
Our 2026/27 application for returning students will open on 28 October 2025.
Apply online
To begin your application you’ll need:
- To have accepted an unconditional/conditional offer or be a returning student
- A university network account
You can choose up to three halls and room types on your application. Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so we cannot guarantee you will get your first choice.
When do I get confirmation that I’ve been allocated a room?
Room offers for students applying for this term should be sent within 7 days on receiving a completed Halls application.
Room offers for students who are starting studies in January will be sent in November 2025.
Rooms offers for 2026/27 returning students will be sent in January 2026.
We plan to start sending room offers to new 2026/27 students from April 2026.
Room offers will be sent by email and will include instructions on completing the room acceptance process via our halls portal where you will be given details of your room, dates of occupancy, rent and full terms and conditions. You will need to make a payment of £200 at this time and set up a direct debit for rent payment within seven days of receiving your room offer. If you accept an offer of a place in residence, you will be signing a legally-binding contract for the full period stated on the offer letter.
Your room offer email will also include a link to a webpage featuring arrival details and other useful information.
Students with disabilities
The university’s halls of residence have accessible rooms on all campuses. These rooms tend to be larger than the other rooms in halls with more accessible bathroom facilities and flexible interiors to suit the level of need required.
The university endeavours to accommodate the needs of students with disabilities. In order to assist the accommodation office with specific requirements, we encourage you to initially contact one of our disability advisers.
Call 01242 714541 or email [email protected] and to talk to us about your requirements.
