Free webinar will help organisations benefit from emerging digital technologies

University of Gloucestershire is hosting a free webinar aimed at preparing businesses and organisations for the impact, benefits and challenges of emerging digital technologies.

The C11 Cyber Security and Digital Innovation Centre webinar will draw upon recent research to explore issues around how new technologies are being deployed, how these technologies are facilitating new ways of working and new business models, and whether IT strategies still matter.

The event will be led by Dr Martin Wynn, Associate Professor in Information Technology within the University’s School of Computing and Engineering. The webinar takes place on 1 December between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance.

Dr Wynn led the end-user computing department at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals and managed the development of computer-based training packages for sales representatives and business systems users.

At the University, Dr Wynn has led the development of Knowledge Transfer Projects, working with and supporting regional businesses in critical business skills development.

He has gone on to publish a number of books with his most recent Digital Transformation, Industry Use Cases and the Impact of Disruptive Technologies, published by IGI-Global in 2022.

“We’ll be offering insight based on industry experience and the latest research, as well as seeking to engage with the webinar participates in an informed discussion of this rapidly evolving topic.”
