Get stuck into the Six Nations
where to watch the games…
Cheltenham and Gloucester are home to over 500 pubs, clubs and bars, so you’re spoiled for choice when picking somewhere to catch the Six Nations this February. Here are just some of our favourite spots…
Whittletaps – Cheltenham
Positioned right in the centre of town, on Regent Street, Whittletaps is a popular choice to watch any sporting event.
It gets rowdy, serves good pub food, and offers 241 cocktails all day, every day – what more could you want? We recommend booking in advance as it gets pretty busy.
The Frog and Fiddle – Cheltenham
Definitely one of the pubs with the most screens in Cheltenham, The Frog and Fiddle is a great choice and has no shortage of seats – there’s even televisions outside!
They offer student priced drinks, so be sure to bring your student ID.
Teague’s Bar – Gloucester
Dubbed ‘The most rugby-crazed pub in the country’s most rugby-crazed city’, Teague’s Bar is located right next to Kingsholm Stadium, and is a firm favourite amongst rugby fans.
Get here early to avoid disappointment.
Gloucester Brewery – Gloucester Quays
Located on the Quays, Gloucester Brewery, who brew ‘earth-conscious’ beers, is a great spot for beer lovers. Catch all the action in this unique space where you can even pour your own pint in Gloucester’s only self-serve bar.
The Abbey – Gloucester
The Abbey is a firm favourite amongst our students in Gloucester due to the food and drink deals. They even have a ‘Uni Crew’ deal, where you get a welcome drink, plus exclusive offers and competitions throughout the year.
No matter who you’re cheering on, there’s no shortage of great venues to do it from, so grab your student card and head out!
