Based in Worcester, Glazzard Architects is a long-established practice known for its context-led approach to design. Founded in 1971, the practice has grown into a collaborative team working across commercial, public and residential projects, with a focus on material integrity and sustainability, alongside a strong commitment to environmentally and socially responsible design principles.

Glazzard Architects’ work ranges from small-scale interventions to larger regeneration schemes, often involving the adaptation of historic buildings. Through close collaboration with clients and stakeholders, the practice delivers architecture that is responsive and thoughtful, and rooted in its local context.

We are grateful to Glazzard Architects for hosting student field trips, offering valuable insight into the studio’s day-to-day workings – from how they approach design challenges to how they communicate ideas and use visualisation as a tool for pitching and problem-solving.

We also greatly value the practice’s contribution to our Practice Advisory Panel, where it joins a network of local, regional and national practices in working with our academic team to help shape the BA (Hons) Architecture course.
