Gloucester wasteland targeted for nurse college for teenagers

There is currently a shortage of nurses in Gloucestershire, therefore to combat this issue there are plans being made to regenerate a forgotten wasteland situated in Gloucester to convert into a school for nursing.

A bid is being made to the Department for Education for a technical college to be built to train 600 nurses a year. The proposed site is located opposite Gloucestershire Royal opposite on the Great Western Road.

With talks of the University of Gloucestershire launching a new nursing degree in 2017, a new nursing college seems more likely in the forgotten wasteland.
