Malaysian business leaders visit University of Gloucestershire
The University of Gloucestershire recently welcomed a delegation of business leaders from Southeast Asia.
From 24 to 27 April the university welcomed twenty senior business executives and entrepreneurs from Malaysia.
Led by Dato Michael Tio, CEO of PKT Logistics, the delegation attended an Executive Management Programme at the university as part of their 10 day study tour to the UK.
The visit included a series of business workshops, a corporate tour of engineering firm Spirax Sarco, as well as networking sessions with local business people and Malaysian students studying at the university.
The group have been actively promoting the University of Gloucestershire and the local area through various social media channels and the tour was also covered by a number of local newspapers in Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Richard O’Doherty, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Gloucestershire emphasised the university’s continued commitment to its activities in Malaysia, saying: “It has been a pleasure to host such an experienced and enthusiastic group. We have all learnt a great deal from each other and we hope that the new relationships that have emerged will continue well into the future.”
