Public exhibition to view revised Pittville Student Village plans

This drop-in event will take place on Tuesday 21 April 2015 between 4pm and 7pm in the Gold Cup Room (located off the Hall of Fame) at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse.

A university spokesman said: “Since the decision to defer the application for the Pittville Student Village in January, we have been extremely busy addressing the issues raised by Members of the Planning Committee and the public. This has been done in close consultation with local representatives and Cheltenham Borough Council Planning Officers, and we now believe it is time to update everyone on the work that has been undertaken so far, particularly around design and operational management.

“We hope these changes will be welcomed, and look forward to the opportunity to hear feedback from all those attending to help guide the next steps.”

Members of the team, including staff from the university, developers Uliving, and new architects Feilden Clegg Bradley, will be available throughout these times to answer individual questions from the public.

The university expects to submit a revised planning application in the summer, which will be subject to full statutory public consultation through Cheltenham Borough Council.

Updated information will also be available from Tuesday 21 April on the website.
