The Royal Television Society (RTS) West of England 2021 Student Television Awards brought great success for University of Gloucestershire Film Production students. The awards evening was Wednesday 24 February.

The Scripted category was won by ‘Paper Round Boy’ – a film by students George Stickley (Director), Anastasija Pcelinceva (Produced), Ted Box (DOP), Millie Bennet (Sound) and Brandon Thompson (Editor).

The team said: “Paper Round Boy lets us into the vibrant and imaginative world of a little boy, who learns that even the best superheroes need a friend. Our aim was to tell a heart-warming story through the eyes of a young lad who aspires to be like his Dad, by capturing childhood nostalgia and the beauty of untethered imagination in every aspect of the film.”
