UoG is bringing together employers and next generation of cyber and digital professionals
University of Gloucestershire is joining forces with employers from across the county’s cyber and digital sector offering new apprenticeship opportunities as part of the Cyber and Digital Launchpad scheme – unlocking new talent and supporting the next generation of cyber and digital professionals.
Now in its third year, the successful initiative connects forward-thinking employers with ambitious new recruits looking to embark on a career in cyber and digital while gaining a degree qualification as part of their apprenticeship.
The University is hosting two key cyber and digital events at its Park Campus in Cheltenham as part of the scheme – the Gloucestershire Cyber and Digital Launchpad Employer Roundtable on Thursday, 29 January 2026, and the Cyber and Digital Launchpad Learner event for prospective apprentices on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.
The Employer Roundtable will bring together organisations and businesses interested in recruiting cyber and digital apprentices and provide opportunities for them to gain valuable insights into the benefits of apprenticeships at the University and how they can enhance their workforce.
The Cyber and Digital Launchpad Learner event will enable prospective apprentices looking to explore the opportunities on offer, make connections with employers and hear from the University’s expert academic team on cyber and digital degree programmes.
Sophie Burch, Client Manager at the University, said: “We’re proud to be playing a leading role with our partners in addressing the skills gap in cyber and emerging tech in Gloucestershire and beyond, by offering a range of apprenticeships.
“We’re delighted to be hosting the 2026 Cyber and Digital Launchpad Employer Roundtable and the Launchpad Learner event to bring together businesses and suitable candidates to fill new apprenticeship roles starting in September 2026.”
