The freedom and autonomy awarded to us are second to none

Sam Parson is a BA (Hons) International Relations student.

Sam was seeking a different university experience, and after attending an open day, meeting the academics, he knew it was the place for him.

“The course so far has been inspiring, it has such a broad focus on many different issues and ideas but still with the ability to specifically explore areas of personal interest.

The freedom and autonomy awarded to us are second to none and I highly value this aspect. I planned to pursue a military career after university, so International Relations is a very valuable degree to have and grants me a wealth of knowledge about the world that will undoubtedly be priceless in the future.”

The course has allowed him and other students to develop a unique insight into a variety of topics, not only related to personal career paths but also all kinds of industries and sectors.

“Since studying this course, my future career goals have developed and I’m now looking into involvement with non-governmental organisations as well as chasing the many opportunities presented to me through this course.”
