“From my interview I felt reassured that I had made the right decision to come to Gloucestershire! The lecturers are very knowledgeable and experienced ODP’s. The cohort sizes are small which has been very beneficial to my learning, being able to access support when needed and building positive lecture/student relationships.
The way the course is structured is great, we attend placement with a day in university each week which allows us to gain knowledge from our lectures as well as in an operating department. As someone who has come onto the course with no theatre experience this has given me a lot of confidence.
The team on placement have been wonderful and very friendly and supportive. Having the opportunity to work within the theatre environment with ODP’s, nurses, surgeons and anaesthetists has been an amazing experience”.
