This course explores how technology is transforming education across schools, colleges, universities and community settings. You’ll examine digital learning, online education, access and inclusion, and the ethical challenges of an increasingly digital society.
You’ll learn to think critically about technology, rather than simply how to use it. The course explores how digital tools shape learning, wellbeing and participation, and how education can respond thoughtfully and responsibly to technological change.
Teaching combines educational theory with applied digital practice, helping you understand both the opportunities and challenges of technology in education. You’ll also have opportunities to connect your learning to real-world contexts through professional practice and work-based learning experiences.
This course is ideal if you are interested in future-focused education roles and want to explore how technology can support inclusive and meaningful learning. You’ll graduate with the knowledge, skills and confidence to work in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

You’ll engage with real-world issues such as digital inclusion, artificial intelligence and online learning, developing both critical understanding and practical skills.
Your learning will be collaborative and interactive, with opportunities to experiment with digital tools and approaches in a supportive environment. As you progress, you’ll take increasing responsibility for your learning through independent and inquiry-based projects.
Teaching is delivered face-to-face and supported by digital platforms and online learning tools that enable access to resources, collaboration and feedback. You’ll develop digital fluency, including how to use technology critically, ethically and effectively.
Assessment is varied and applied, including digital projects, portfolios, presentations and research tasks.
You’ll also take part in professional practice modules and work-based learning, helping you apply your learning in real-world contexts and prepare for careers in digital education and beyond.
