112 UCAS tariff points, BBC at A levels with one subject preferably in a science. DMM at BTEC to include 6 units in a Science or Health Science subject, 2:2 or above in a previous degree, or a Pass (C or above) in T-Level in a science or health-related subject.

Access to HE Diploma from a QAA recognised Access to HE course in a health or science based subject. Applicants required to meet 112 tariff points (example of achieving this would be 24 distinctions and 15 merits and 6 passes or 21D, 18M and 6P).

You must have a minimum of five subjects at GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent), including English Language, Maths and Science.

You must declare at the point of application and interview any criminal convictions (spent and otherwise), as this will determine your eligibility to progress through the application process. 

Once you have been offered and accepted a place on your programme, you will need to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (adult and child workforce) and send a copy of the DBS certificate to our admissions team. If you have any criminal convictions, a risk assessment will be undertaken to determine your suitability for the programme and profession.   

• All successful applicants MUST complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and this is at the applicant’s expense.
• Applicants MUST sign up to the DBS Update Service within 30 days in receiving their certificate
• International applicants require equivalent overseas checks

In addition, you must declare any criminal cautions or convictions during your programme (at the point they occur) to your course leader, as this may affect your ability to continue with or complete your programme. An annual DBS update service check will be conducted each year to ensure compliance.

• The completion of a health declaration is required before commencement of your chosen programme. The health declaration documentation will be provided once you accept your place on the programme.
• Any health conditions you declare will be assessed on a case-by-case basis as to whether you are able to commence the programme, complete all elements of the programme (including practice-based learning). Reasonable adjustments can be put in place as needed.
• Occupational Health clearance includes undertaking any required immunisations
• Any delay to providing health clearance information may affect course commencement and progression. This can have financial consequences.

All students at University of Gloucestershire must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct. In addition, health and social care students on courses that lead to registration with a professional body must also adhere to the relevant codes of conduct or professional standards and compliance with NHS uniform and infection control policies.

If you have prior study at University level (Cert HE, foundation degree, or degree) you may be able to apply for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) for some modules. Find out more on our website or by emailing [email protected].

We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants, although some entry requirements may still apply for Professionally Accredited Courses. We accept Access to Higher Education Diplomas and make offers on an individual basis.

If English is not your first language, you are required to provide a language test certificate as evidence of proficiency. This needs to be at Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) level 7.0 or above with a minimum of 7.0 in all sections of the test.
