Studying at the University of Gloucestershire has allowed me to achieve my goals and I am now working in my dream job as a graduate ecologist.
The lecturers are supportive and keen to get students ready for a work based environment.
I began to work part time as a bat surveyor early on in my degree because of an opportunity that was emailed to the students by one of the lecturers.
During my third year I gained a position as a graduate ecologist and my employers were particularly impressed with some of the skills that I had gained at university, in particular the ability to write an Ecological Impact Assessment and my GIS skills. Both of these skills are taught as a module at the university and are used regularly in ecological consultancy.
