Employer Hub Terms and Conditions – Vacancies and Events

To advertise vacancies or events through the University of Gloucestershire Employer Hub, organisations must comply with the following terms and conditions. The University reserves the right to approve, reject, edit or remove any listing at its discretion.

1. Organisation Information

Employers must provide accurate and complete organisation details, including:

Listings submitted without sufficient contact or organisational information may be rejected.

5. Job Descriptions and Recruitment Information

If recruitment activity forms part of an event, this must be clearly stated within the event description. Any associated opportunities must also comply with these terms.

6. International Student Eligibility

6.1 Employers must clearly state whether opportunities are open to international students.

6.2 All advertised opportunities must comply with UK immigration and visa regulations.

6.3 Employers are responsible for ensuring that all recruitment activity complies with current UK employment and immigration legislation, including Right to Work requirements.

6.4 Employers must undertake appropriate Right to Work checks and confirm candidate eligibility before employment commences.

6.5 Opportunities advertised through the University’s Careers and Employability services must clearly state any visa, sponsorship or eligibility requirements relevant to the role.

7. Health, Safety and Safeguarding

Employers are responsible for ensuring appropriate health, safety and safeguarding arrangements for all events and opportunities.

Employers must treat students, staff and other attendees professionally and respectfully at all times.

Harassment, misuse of the platform or behaviour deemed inappropriate by the University may result in removal of listings and suspension of access to the Employer Hub.

10. Event Changes and Cancellations

10.1 Employers must notify the University promptly of any significant event changes, postponements or cancellations and, where appropriate, inform registered attendees directly.

10.2 Employers are responsible for making amendments to changes for vacancies & events. An employer will receive an email if a job listing is due to expire and can request an extension by emailing: [email protected].

11. Student Protest and Event Safety

11.1 Employer Responsibilities

11.1.2 Employers must notify the Careers and Employability Team of any potential protest, reputational concern or security risk associated with an event or organisation.

11.1.3 Employers are responsible for undertaking appropriate risk assessments and ensuring suitable insurance arrangements are in place.

11.1.4 Any use of external security personnel must be agreed in advance with the University.

11.1.5 Employers must ensure that any third parties acting on their behalf comply with these requirements.

11.2 University Responsibilities

11.2.1 The Careers and Employability Team may conduct its own risk assessment for events where necessary.

11.2.2 The University will work with relevant internal services, including Security, to support the safe delivery of events.

11.2.3 The University reserves the right to amend, restrict or cancel events where there are concerns relating to safety, disruption, protest activity or operational risk.

11.2.4 The University will seek to ensure that all events are delivered in safe, accessible and appropriate environments for students, staff and visitors.

11.2.5 The Careers and Employability Team will promote events through appropriate University channels but cannot guarantee student attendance at events.

11.2.6 The University accepts no responsibility for cancellations caused by circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Careers and Employability Team.

11.2.7 The University accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to property, equipment or materials brought onto University premises, including items left unattended after an event.

11.2.8 Parking at event venues is not guaranteed. The University accepts no responsibility for vehicles left on University property, and all vehicles remain subject to University of Gloucestershire parking regulations.

12. Branding and Use of University Identity

12.1 Advertising a vacancy, event or opportunity through the University’s Careers and Employability services does not constitute endorsement, partnership or approval by the University of Gloucestershire.

12.2 Employers and third parties must not use the University of Gloucestershire name, logo, branding or other University identity materials in their own marketing, advertising or promotional content without prior written permission from the University.

13. Degree Apprenticeships

The University may decline Degree Apprenticeship opportunities that directly conflict with its own provision.

14. Complaints, Queries and Escalations

14.1 The University reserves the right to decline, remove or amend any vacancy, event, employer profile or promotional activity that does not comply with University policies, Terms and Conditions or values.

14.2 Employers may contact the Careers and Employability Team to request clarification, raise concerns or appeal a decision relating to the removal or rejection of an opportunity or engagement activity.

14.3 All complaints, queries or escalation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

14.4 The Careers and Employability Team will review concerns on a case-by-case basis and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

14.5 The University’s decision regarding approval, removal or restriction of opportunities and employer engagement activity will be final.
