Festival county

We have over 45 festivals a year in Gloucestershire – from science, history and literature, to some of the UK’s top music events. Plus, the annual Gold Cup Festival which attracts royals and celebrities.

This Cheltenham horse-racing event is the pinnacle of the sport’s jump racing calendar. With a daily spectator attendance of 65,000 people, it’s estimated the festival earns £100m for the wider Gloucestershire economy. Bringing the county to life throughout the festival week.

And when they’re not in the festival crowds, our students can be found working backstage or even performing – it’s a great way to earn some extra cash and get some experience.
