#teamglos

Last updated: 7 December 2022

We’re a strong and united team, even if our time is mostly spent apart right now. Thankfully there are still a number of ways to get involved and be part of #teamglos. A great place to start is the SU.

Your Students’ Union is a registered charity led by students for students. You’ll have a voice and we’ll get you involved in student life through events, activities, clubs and societies. You’ll automatically become a member when you join us (there’s no membership fee).

Freshers’ Fortnight

2 weeks of events and activities, including the Freshers’ Ball and Freshers’ Fayre, BBQs, cinema nights and fancy-dress parties.

Societies

Choose from over 60 societies, including Afro-Caribbean, Nintendo, LGBTQ+, Cyber Forensics, Yoga, Vegan & Vegetarian and Creative Writing – and for aspiring DJs and presenters, there’s our student-run radio station Tone. Or, you can always start a new society.

Sports

Compete, play for fun or just keep fit. With over 35 sports clubs – including athletics, cricket, dance, football, netball, rugby and rowing – you’ll find something to get involved with.

JobShop

Find part-time work to fit around your studies. As well as helping to stretch your budget, it can add real value to your CV. Find out more about our SU services.

“I didn’t know anyone at first. So, I joined different clubs and societies. It was a great way to meet new people who are now my best friends.”
