Connecting to eduroam

University of Gloucestershire students and staff members can connect to eduroam using their domain account username, the University of Gloucestershire realm name and a password.

For example, if your username was s0123456, then your eduroam username would be s0123456@glos.ac.uk.

While visiting other participating institutions, you can connect to the local eduroam network to get an internet connection. You will need to obtain connection instructions from the visited organisations eduroam website.

You must abide by the rules of use for the institution you are connected to and you should check the eduroam website at the institution before you arrive.

Visiting Users

You should connect to the wireless network using the SSID ‘eduroam’. You will be assigned an IP address automatically from our DHCP servers and once authenticated, allowed onto a visitor VLAN. Network protocols are limited to the ports required by the eduroam service.

Users experiencing any technical problems with the roaming service, or with remote access facilities provided by their Home Organisation, should consult their Home Organisation IT Support.
