Art and Design Degree Show celebrates students’ creativity

The University of Gloucestershire’s graduating students will be showcasing their wide range of talent, innovation, dedication and creativity at the annual School of Art and Design Degree Show.

This year, work by final year undergraduate students will be on display at two sites in Cheltenham – the University’s brand new Design Centre at Park campus and Hardwick, Centre for Art and Photography.

The Design Centre at Park campus will host work from students graduating in Advertising, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design and Product Design, with the opening night on Thursday 6 June from 6-9pm.

Work from students studying Fine Art, Illustration, Photography, Photography: Editorial and Advertising, Landscape Architecture, Photojournalism and Documentary Photography will all be on display at the University’s Centre for Art and Photography at Hardwick. The opening night at Hardwick, home of Hardwick Gallery, will take place on Friday 7 June from 6-9pm.

Both exhibitions will be open daily from 10am-4pm until Friday 21 June, and everyone is welcome to view the students’ work, free of charge throughout the week. Students will be on hand throughout the Degree Show to show visitors around.

Angus Pryor, Head of the School of Art and Design, said: “The Art and Design Degree Show is always a special time of year for us and it promises to be a great showcase of work created by our 2019 graduates.

“The Degree Show is an example of the quality or work that the School of Art and Design produce throughout three years and the dedication of the staff who have taught this year’s exhibiting students. It’s a real opportunity to see where the work was created, and to meet staff and talented graduates.

“This is the first time we have run the show across two University sites and we look forward to welcoming visitors to both our Park campus and Hardwick, Centre for Art and Photography.”

The Degree Show will be using #uogdegreeshow2019 on the build-up and throughout the exhibitions.
