University of Gloucestershire ranked 6th globally for Postgraduate Research

​The University of Gloucestershire has been ranked 6th globally in the 2019 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). ​​

The PRES is the largest survey of its kind, reviewing over 50,000 postgraduate researcher experiences at over 100 institutions. 

The survey includes students’ experiences of a range of aspects of university; such as supervision, resources available, professional development and assessment. 

The university offers a large variety of research degrees and academic supervision, investing in six priority areas aligned with global challenges. 

Professor David James, Dean of Academic Development, said:
“We are really proud of the environment we have created for our students and this is reflected in our global postgraduate research ranking. Our students are really well supported by their supervisors, with opportunities to pursue their research interests and to continually develop wider skills and experience for their future careers. Our research priority areas provide excellent opportunities for students and staff to work together to contribute to national and international challenges, bringing insight and new knowledge.”
