In my own art practice, I have worked across drawing, sculpture, moving image and web works, showing nationally and internationally including exhibitions at the Courtauld Institute of Art, Aspex Gallery, and Newlyn Art Gallery in the UK, as well as further afield, at Muu Gallery, Helsinki, and Wyspa Institute of Contemporary Art, Gdansk, Poland. My writing has been published by Black Dog, as well as a number of magazines and newspapers including The Guardian and Telegraph.
Having written and led the broad-based BA (hons) in Fine Art between 2012-2016, I now run the MA, increasingly working across post-graduate and research levels.
Within writing and research, I have particular interests in the relevance and importance of Drawing within Contemporary Art practice, specifically looking at the relationship between the autographic drawn mark and digital/emerging technologies. This research has been disseminated widely through projects and conferences at a range of institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and Drawing Room, London.
