I work across the Social Sciences team, teaching in areas including understanding the causes and impacts of Genocide, and in Restorative Justice. I also support research in the team, helping to develop projects and supervising PhD students.


I am a Political Sociologist by training and teach across Social Sciences. I specialise in areas including the ways in which Restorative Justice can help to repair social harms, and the impacts of international crimes such as Genocide and Crimes against Humanity. As an Associate Professor of Social Sciences, I am REF lead and support the team in developing research and supervision of PhD students.

My research focuses on the ways in which we can understand and overcome harm in society. This includes work on mass crimes such as Genocide and Crimes against Humanity and how we can overcome these events as well as considering the role of Restorative Justice in helping individuals, groups, and whole societies to respond to harm.
