Social Sciences

I am a Senior Lecturer in Policing in the social sciences subject area. I teach on our BSc Professional Policing and BSc Criminology courses, and am a former police officer.

Biography

I was a police officer with Thames Valley Police for 12 years before moving into Higher Education. I have worked in various front-line roles in policing, and have worked numerous high profile events such as the 2012 Olympics. My main role was as a football officer, working all over the country, and I have a strong interest in football hooliganism and how it is policed.
