I have worked in secondary schools in a variety of roles including teacher training and pastoral management. I am now interested in research which will enable better quality PE experiences for school age children.


I have gained experience in a variety of roles in secondary and primary education both in Gloucestershire and London. Working with local schools to continue to develop outstanding practice in Physical Education.

Teaching and research


Rachel teaches on modules across the CPED subject community specialising in the practice of PE in schools.




My research focuses on the practice of assessment within Physical Education in schools. I am looking at the effects of government policies on PE as well as working with Primary schools to develop effective assessment tools.
