We have 2 competitive teams that play in fixtures against other universities in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league. Our teams are coached by fully qualified coaches.

Meet the coach: Kate Gumm

Kate is a UEFA B (Level 3) licenced coach who has been involved with football either as a player or a coach since she was 5 years old. As a player she was selected for England Youth camps, and aged just 16, played in the top women’s football league in England for Bristol Rovers, even featuring in a FA Cup semi-finals.

As a coach she has worked with players of all ages and genders, including Assistant Coach for Swindon Town Women (in Tier 3 of the women’s football pyramid) and most recently for Forest Green Rovers boys’ and girls’ academies. Just last season she was lucky enough to be highlighted as one of the top female coaches in the South West of England and, as a result, will also work this coming season as a Talent Coach for the Football Association.
