Julia’s role supports the strategic development of the University’s physical and digital assets, enhancing its use of technology in teaching, learning, research, and the overall student experience.
She also contributes to the University’s commitment to connectedness—strengthening relationships across staff, students, employers, and the wider Gloucestershire community.
Julia has led a wide range of transformation projects across the education and public sectors. She has delivered key initiatives including lecture capture rollout, improvements to the international student recruitment journey, cyber security and systems to enhance student engagement and academic outcomes.
Her previous roles include Deputy Director for IT Services and Head of Project Delivery at the University of the West of England, as well as transformation roles at the University of Bristol and JISC.
As an EDI champion, Julia has played an active role in embedding inclusive practices within organisational change programmes.
