Dr Darcy Bornemann is a researcher in consumer motivation for animal ownership. Her focus uses the lens of consumer behaviour to understand the psycho-social impact of human-animal interactions for both human and animal wellbeing.
Darcy has worked internationally, for 10 years as a professional equestrian and emigrated to the United Kingdom in 2009 completing both her Master of Science (University of the West of England) and PhD in Business (University of Gloucestershire).
Darcy is currently investigating leadership in the equestrian interactions, decision making around pet choice, coaching degree apprenticeship students, and is a visiting lecturer in business and marketing at the University of Gloucestershire.
