My previous role as senior lecturer at UWE over the last ten years has included responsibilities such as programme leader (Gloucester), interviewing prospective students, module leadership, academic personal tutor role, and previously year tutor, academic in practice and to develop and lead high fidelity inter professional simulation and introduction of standardised patients within adult nursing. These experiences have enhanced my interpersonal skills, as well as allowed me to develop project management skills, and allowed me to work successfully with colleagues from different backgrounds and departments, ensuring students receive the support, skills and knowledge necessary to deliver high standards of nursing care.

Research Aims and Objectives:
To examine the feasibility of introducing self-assessment health and quality of health measurements to a nurse education curriculum.
To investigate pre-registered nurses self-assessment of health and quality of life, before and after a six-week introductory programme to nurse education.
