Senior Lecturer in Sport Fitness and Physical Activity

I am interested in sport and exercise and enjoy linking contemporary research on health and fitness to a practical environment. I am always trying to gain a better understand the human body with respect to health, exercise and performance.

Biography

I joined the Sport and Exercise Science department in 2012, having previously taught in further education, private training companies as well as in a prison. I am interested in sport and exercise and enjoy linking contemporary research on health and fitness to a practical environment. I am always trying to gain a better understand the human body with respect to health, exercise and performance. I am a keen triathlete and recently completed Ironman Wales.

  • PGCAP, Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice, University of Gloucestershire, 2013

Teaching & Research

Teaching

I deliver on the Exercise, Fitness and Health Fdn degree and the Sport and Exercise Science degree. Modules include Advanced Exercise Design and Fitness Instruction, Advanced Training Techniques and Core Themes in Sport and Exercise Psychology.
