Dr Duncan Dicks

Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing

I am a writer with special interest in ethics, literary fiction, historical fiction, and especially crime fiction as a reflection of contemporary society.

Following a first PhD in mathematics I have worked in mathematics, engineering, accountancy, and environmental finance before concentrating on writing and academic research into crime writing. My PhD in Creative Writing explores the role of crime fiction in reflecting the inequalities of society.
