My practice interests include working with people with autistic spectrum conditions, and people with complex physical disabilities. I have been a Senior Manager in practice and retain an interest in the managerial and organisational aspects of the nursing profession. I believe very strongly in service user and carer involvement in nursing programmes, and these will be central to the Learning Disabilities programme philosophy.
Learning Disabilities Nursing is a values driven profession and in this programme students will be supported to develop an ethical approach and to advocate for the rights of people with Learning disabilities.
