Senior Lecturer in Operating Department Practice

Paul has over 20 years of experience as an Operating Department Practitioner. He joined the University in 2022.

Biography

Paul has taught on pre/post-registration ODP, Nursing, Paramedic Science and Mentorship courses at levels 4-7. In addition to undertaking a variety of academic roles, he has led on hi-fidelity simulation, inter-professional education, and stakeholder engagement during his career.

Qualifications

  • MA Education – Birmingham City University
  • BA Philosophy and Politics – University of Liverpool

Paul also holds a SEDA qualification in dissertation supervision. He is a Registered Operating Department Practitioner and a qualified ALERT/BEACH instructor.
