Pavla Boulton

Lecturer in Education

Biography

I have worked as a university lecturer in Early Years, Education and Education Practice since 2011. I have previously taught across the age ranges, from primary to Further Education and specialised in physical education and using the Forest School approach.

I currently teach a range of education modules and courses, covering child development, child psychology, special educational needs and outdoor learning approaches for teaching and learning. I have published resources and journal papers on outdoor learning and digital technology, and schematic development in the outdoors.

I am currently completing my PhD which is an autoethnographic critique of mobilising early childhood educators’ knowledge in Outdoor pedagogy in a time of educational reform.
