Poppy started as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Psychology in 2026. She has completed her BSc in Psychology and MSc in Health Psychology. Currently, she is completing her MScR, focusing on the feasibility of a fatigue toolkit for individuals living with cancer. Her interests are how health psychology can support adherence and maintenance of long-term health conditions.
Poppy supports on research methods modules across all levels.
Poppy’s main research interest involves health psychology, using behaviour change theories to understand the psychosocial factors underpinning fatigue and self-management in long-term physical health conditions, and developing suitable interventions to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
Much of her previous research has involved cancer survivorship and exercise behaviour, including literature reviews on behaviour change interventions to support physical activity and self-management among people affected by cancer, carried out during her role with the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire Cancer Alliance.
