Dr Rihab Al Seyab is the Academic Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Cyber Security Apprenticeship at University of Gloucestershire. She is a Senior Lecturer with over 20 years of experience in higher education, teaching and research across Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics, and Engineering Management.
As Academic Course Leader, Dr Al Seyab leads the strategic and academic development of the Cyber Security Apprenticeship programme, working closely with employers, academic colleagues, and industry partners to ensure the curriculum remains aligned with the rapidly evolving cyber security landscape. She is committed to delivering an engaging, industry-focused learning experience that equips apprentices with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required for successful careers.

Dr Al Seyab’s research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security applications, the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Systems, Embedded Intelligent Systems, Robotics, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, Photonics for Neuromorphic Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Control Engineering, and Electronics Systems.
In addition to programme leadership, Dr Al Seyab supervises PhD, DBA, MSc, and undergraduate research students, serves as an External Examiner for UK universities, and actively contributes to curriculum development, interdisciplinary research, and knowledge exchange with academic and industry partners.
