Dr Rowan Middleton

Senior Lecturer in Creative English Literature

I teach a wide variety of modules across English and Creative Writing. My research interests include: literature and the environment, literature and spirituality, poetry, and creative writing pedagogy. Chevron icon

Biography

I enjoy teaching across the curriculum, and have taught modules in areas including 19th century and 20th century American literature, the Romantics, creative writing (poetry and the short story), literary language, the Dymock poets, and academic skills. My research focusses on literature and the environment, literature and spirituality, modern and contemporary poetry, and creative writing pedagogy. I also write poetry, and my pamphlet The Stolen Herd was published by Yew Tree Press in 2018.
