Vassil Rachkov

Senior Lecturer in Business Enterprise and Innovation

I am passionate about transferring knowledge from my long experience in the wine industry where for the last 25 years I have set up and run various wine enterprises. My experience is mainly in business development, import and distribution and international business management.

Biography

My academic career started after completing an MBA in the Royal Agricultural University in 2013, where I was invited to develop the Entrepreneurship discipline. When I moved to University of Gloucestershire in 2018, I brought to my teaching a deeply rooted passion for innovation and enterprise. In addition to my academic teaching, I helped support and guide budding young entrepreneurs.

Teaching

I am teaching various enterprise and innovation and international business modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including degree apprenticeships. I am passionate about sharing my experience with students and young entrepreneurs in their journey to become the best versions of themselves. 

I am keen to discuss potential research supervision in the areas of: start ups and entrepreneurship, design thinking for business, international business and business model development and innovation.
