​​The University of Gloucestershire welcomes students from all around the world and, as such, we have international representatives based in many countries all over the globe. We also run events in different countries around the world, giving you the opportunity to find out more about the University and what studying in the UK entails. We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to work out what your qualifications equate to in the UK education system. Our country-specific information should help you decide which level of study is most appropriate for you.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate (Bachelors)
  • Pass the Atestats par visparijo videjo izglitibu (certificate of General Secondary Education) with a minimum overall grade of 7. We will accept Latvian Atestāts (8 out of 10 from English as a subject) as an equivalent to IELTS. Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements. Applicants are advised to check the course page, and/or conditions stated in the offer letter.
Postgraduate (Masters)
  • Bakalaurs (Bachelor degree) with a minimum grade 7. Please note that some courses may require higher entry requirements. Applicants are advised to check the course page, and/or conditions stated in the offer letter.
Postgraduate (Research)
  • MRes applicants must have successfully completed a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree with a minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent. For Doctorate and PhD admission, applicants must have successfully completed a master's degree with a good grade in a related subject field or hold relevant work experience. In addition some programmes may require work experience and/or a strong portfolio of work. Applicants are expected to submit a research proposal. ​
